The girls performed brillantly in the first half and were a little frustrated at halftime with the score at 0-0 having let a few chances go a miss.
Salthill came out with more purpose in the second half and the game became more of an even affair with chances at a premium.
Then a slip at the back cost Town and Salthill pounced to take the lead ⚽ 0-1.
As the game went into the final 10 minutes Town threw caution to the wind and went for it.
Salthill nearly took advantage of this as Town searched for an equaliser but couldn't find the back of net.
As the game entered the final few minutes Town won a corner and with nothing to loose they threw the kitchen sink at it . A great delivery from Ruby deflected in off of a Salthill defender ⚽ 1 - 1 with a minute to go.
Final whistle blows, and straight to penalties . With Town missing 1, then a fantastic save from Emma Fahy and a miss from Salthill. The Town girls took the win on Penalties 4 - 3.
Both teams gave it their all and are a credit to the game.
